The Best Time to Mow Your Lawn in Adelaide

Adelaide's Mediterranean climate means your lawn behaves very differently across the seasons. Getting the timing right makes a huge difference to how healthy and green it stays.
In spring and autumn, when growth is strongest, mow weekly to keep the lawn dense and crowd out weeds. Over the hot, dry summer, raise your mower height and mow less often — longer blades shade the soil and hold moisture.
Avoid mowing in the heat of the day. Early morning (once the dew has dried) or late afternoon is kinder to both the grass and you. Never cut more than a third of the blade height in a single mow, as scalping stresses the lawn and invites weeds.
In winter, growth slows right down. A monthly tidy is usually plenty. If you'd rather skip the guesswork, our team handles scheduling for you — weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits to suit your lawn.
